About USA

Over the last few decades, international students' preference for the United States has grown exponentially. The United States boasts the world's largest international student population, with over one million students opting to further their education and life experience in the United States. International education in the United States has come a long way since the mid-1950s, when international student enrollment was only 35,000. The United States is a vast country, and each state is distinct in terms of culture, climate, history, economy, and other facto

Studying In The USA

Since time immemorial, colleges in the United States have maintained a significant presence among the world's best-ranked educational institutions. This is due in part to the fact that American institutions are well-funded and supported, but it is also due to the high academic standards and tough requirements that they instil in their students.

With their ever-changing and evolving classrooms, these universities continue to attract students from all over the world, and they work tirelessly every year to bring about change in the education they provide so that foreign students from all over the world are prepared to return home and find wonderful career opportunities.

USA Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your anticipated stay in the United States. Keep a photocopy of the page with your photograph and passport number before departing for the United States. If your passport is lost or stolen, this will make replacing it easier. Keep the photocopy somewhere safe, but do not keep it with your passport. If your passport is lost or stolen, immediately notify your embassy and the police.

USA Financial Resource

To obtain an F-1 visa, you must demonstrate that you have the means to cover the first year of study as well as resources to cover the remainder of your educational programme. For an M-1 or J-1 visa, you must show that you have enough money to cover all tuition and living expenses for the duration of your stay in the United States.

The information you provide on the I-20 form (F-1) or DS-2019 form (J-1) will be carefully scrutinised by both the school's foreign student advisor and the INS. You will not be granted a visa if you do not have the necessary resources to study in the United States.

Before you board a plane, you should know where your money is coming from. Because too many overseas students have to return home after only a year of study, several schools require confirmation that you have enough money for the whole duration of study, even for an F-1 visa.

If your education will be sponsored by a US citizen (for example, a relative), the relative must complete Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support). If you are unable to pay your expenditures, this form requires them to do so. A Form I-134 filed by someone who is not a relative counts less than a Form I-134 filed by a relative.

Maintain Visa Status After Arrival In USA

If an F-1 student is unable to complete their studies by the I-20 form's expiration date, they must apply to the school's Foreign Student Advisor for an extension 30 days before the expiration date. Extensions are usually granted for academic and medical grounds, as long as there have been no visa infractions.

Transferring schools after arriving on an F-1 visa is possible. You must tell your present school of your intention to transfer and get an I-20 form from the new school. You must complete the student certification section of the I-20 and deliver it to the foreign student advisor at the new school within 15 days of starting classes.

You do not need to tell the INS if you are changing majors at your current institution. If you are changing degree programmes (for example, from a bachelor's degree to a master's degree), you must obtain a new I-20 and submit it to the foreign student advisor within 15 days of starting the new programme.

If you are unable to pay your expenditures, this form requires them to do so. A Form I-134 filed by someone who is not a relative counts less than a Form I-134 filed by a related.
